6-osc chord synth

CHORD

Buy
Chord is a digital synthesizer made for noise, drone and
ambient genres. Its 6 oscillator pitches can be easily tuned
to different chords and intervals, with 6 LFOs modulating
the settings. Thanks to its vast modulation abilities and rich
MIDI implementation, it will be useful in many setups and
situations.
Main SxLab Chord synth features
  • Small but mighty
"Credit card series" isn't just a name — Chord is really the size of a credit card and will easily fit into any live music setup, and won't take much space in your backpack. Don't let its size fool you — despite being small, it's a useful sound source for any experimental music genre, especially with external effect pedals. Chord also features USB-C charging and an internal battery for maximum portability and convenience.
  • 6 oscillators
Chord has 6 oscillators, which can be tuned to induvidual notes of a chord or to the same tonic note in a pleasant unison. Waveform is gradually adjustable from a triangle to saw, making a sound similar to a soft 6db/oct filter.
  • Nourishes your creativity
Oscillator pitches are controlled with 5 knobs: Coarse (tonic note in semitones), Fine (+/- 2 semitones), Unison (the amount of oscillators "spread" from set frequencies, or gathering towards the tonic), Chord (chord selection) and Spread (distribution of oscillators in the chord). Such control greatly nourishes your creativity without limiting possibilities.

  • 6 LFOs
Each of the sound-affecting knobs has a dedicated LFO with adjustable speed, amplitude and waveform (triangle, square or random sample & hold). For the most ardent experiments, each LFO can be pushed into audio rates. With many sweet spots, Chord can produce both pleasant, soft ambient textures and gritty Lo-Fi timbres.
  • MIDI Control
Chord has a TRS MIDI A/B input, which can be used to connect to an external MIDI keyboard or sequencer to shift the chord tonic, with pitchbend support and modulation wheel controlling the oscillators' waveform. Furthermore, all knobs (except for LFOs) have MIDI CCs dedicated to them, and LFOs may be synchronized to MIDI clock.
  • 3 preset slots
Use them to save all your unique timbres and sounds, or to change chords on the fly — it's all up to you. 4th memory slot allows you to quickly save current state so that it won't be lost after reboot.
